Good morning from the chilly Northland! It was around 16 degrees Fahrenheit when I got up. My husband saw this muskrat skittering around on the micro thin ice when he was out running. This lake is fed by springs that keep it partially open through most of the winter, so it’s home to lots of wildlife.
Muskrat soon dove safely into open water and disappeared.
Husband finished his chilly run around the half-frozen lake.
The gardener in me whimpered.
Is it spring yet?
