Here are a few vignettes that were looking especially attractive in my garden this week as we transition into August.
In the shade garden a Hakone grass, a variegated hosta, maiden hair and ghost ferns form a living quilt that’s soothing, but not boring. While out on the sunny prairie, liatris, coneflowers, Russian Sage and Rudbeckia held court.
And a lavender Veronicastrum leaned in to share some gossip with its sturdy Prairie Dropseed neighbor
Sometimes in the garden, it’s blending in that really makes a plant stand out.
