Waves of Roses

photoThe rugosa roses are well-behaved and flowering heavily in my garden this year.  Their wrinkled, deep green leaves are free of diseases and their smell is wonderful!

Another on the well-behaved list is this climber, Colonel John Davis.photo  Its attractive pink color and clean foliage make these roses a favorite of mine. . . and the bees. photo
And finally, here he is in full glory against the lattice near my front door, absolutely dripping with blooms.photo

Sometimes, I think June must be my favorite month in the the garden.
